Franklin County Crime Solvers is a dedicated volunteer organization of local citizens, and business organizations pledged to the reduction of unsolved local community crimes. This goal is accomplished by establishing rewards for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of those person(s) responsible for criminal acts within Franklin County. Each week the Crime Solvers Police Coordinator selects a "Crime of the Week" from the unsolved crime files of Franklin County police agencies. The information concerning the crime is distributed to all of our print and electronic media who, in the spirit of dedicated public service, publicize the facts of the event and that a reward, up to $2,000, is available to individuals who supply information needed to solve the crime. | Since it's founding on November 11th 1982, the Franklin County Crime Solvers Program has brought closure to over 200 cases that otherwise would have remained unsolved. This fact is why the organization is supported by all of our state and local elected officials; the Pennsylvania State Police; the Chambersburg, Greencastle, Mercersburg, Waynesboro, and Washington Township Police Departments; the Office of the District Attorney; and all of our local Chambers of Commerce.
The Franklin County Crime Solvers Program is administered and controlled by the Board of Directors in accordance with the organizations written charter and by-laws. Crime Solvers is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization under Section 501(c) (3) of the IRS Code, so that all contributions are fully tax-exempt.
| You can be an active partner with the Franklin County Crime Programs effort to reduce community crime by making a tax-deductible donation or providing information on an unsolved crime. Remember, "SOLVED CRIMES ENHANCE COMMUNITY SAFETY AND REDUCE FEAR". Please help keep Franklin County a safe place to live, work, shop and play.
