$509.00 Donated at Caledonia!
Sunday August 12, 2007
A total of $509.00 were donated by participating golfers to FRANKLIN COUNTY CRIME SOLVERS, during the Fayetteville Athletic Association's Golf Tournament held at the Caledonia Golf Course Sunday August 12th.

Golfer's were given an opportunity to double their donation by placing their first shot within the circle on Hole Nine, shown to the right.

Cortney Timmons and Heather Bowers from Smith's Chicken BBQ helped solicit the funds from the participating golfers. As you can see in the picture below they were quite successful.

These two were hard to resist and their persistency paid off bringing in $509.00 in donations for the day, the best Franklin County Crime Solvers has seen at any golf tournament. Their youthful enthusiasm made it an enjoyable day for all the participating golfers. No one has given any more willingly than those on hole nine. It was fun for all!

We appreciate these young ladies voluntary help in raising funds. We can't thank them enough!

Below pictured with Cortney and Heather is Andy Burke, the only golfer to place his first shot in the circle on hole nine. Andy gave his winnings back to Franklin County Crime Solvers.

In addition to Cortney and Heather working the green was Lynn also from Smith's Chicken BBQ. She helped Franklin County Crime Solvers Board Member Darv Stutz determine and signal if the ball was within the circle. Yours truly, Barry Roberts Board Member worked the Tee with Heather and Cortney, which was easy as they did most of the work and got all the attention.

A final foot note. Our own Rod Cline golfed in this tournament and although he didn't hit the circle on nine we thought you might enjoy seeing his form on the Tee, pictured below!
